The advanced optional training modules below and their companion in-depth guides include information and best practices on six key topics related to condominium board governance and general responsibilities.
Advanced training can only be completed following completion of the foundational director training modules. Please allow up to 1 hour after completing the foundational training before beginning the advanced training.
Note: The Best Practice Guides and Advanced Optional Director Training Modules are being piloted for the first time in 2022. Let us know what you think by taking the surveys below or at the end of each module.

- Define “hazard” and describe what constitutes the difference between an emergency and an unexpected issue
- Assess vulnerabilities within your condominium corporation
- Assess the likelihood and impact of each identified hazard
- Describe the emergency response plan
- Describe the importance of testing the plan

- Describe what the evaluation process looks like for an issue in your own building

- Describe the lifecycle of working with a condominium manager, including:
- Planning: Laying the framework to hire a compatible condominium manager
- Working: creating an effective working relationship

- Terminating: Transitioning and protecting the community should you need to terminate the working relationship
