What technical support does CAO provide

Why can’t I file my condo corporation’s annual return?

Make sure your CAO account is properly linked to your condo corporation and that you have Full Access to file returns and pay fees. All outstanding invoices must be paid before you can file an annual return.

 

How can I update the municipal address on my condo corporation’s profile?

Fill out and submit a special notice of change form with CAO.

 

How can I remove a board director from the Condo Registry?

Submit a request to your condo board director or manager asking them to file a notice of change with CAO to remove the individual from their corporation’s registry profile.

 

How can a new property manager be added to a condo corporation?

A new property manager can be added by filing a notice of change with CAO. Only individuals with Full Access, such as directors, officers or the outgoing manager, can make this update. Need assistance? Contact Us.

 

Why am I still receiving reminders about director training even though I’ve completed it?

This can happen when your CAO account information differs from the information provided by your condo corporation.

Ask your condo corporation file a notice of change with CAO. Your email address and name must match your CAO account information found under My Personal Profile.

 

How do I update my CAO account information?

Contact us to update your email address or make a correction to your name on your CAO account.

 

Why did I receive an invalid email error message when creating a CAO account?

You may encounter this error when:

  • Creating a new account
  • Submitting a request through the Contact Us form
  • Adding an individual to a condominium corporation

Contact us directly. We may need to manually verify your email to resolve the issue. 

 

How do I create a CAO account?

  1. Access the CAO’s account login page
  2. Select Create an Account
  3. Verify your email address
  4. Choose a username and password
  5. Register & complete your personal profile page

Board directors must use the same email address they provided to their condo corporation when setting up their accounts.

How do I reset my CAO password?

  1. Click Forgot your Password on the account login page
  2. Enter your username and email address associated with your account
  3. A six-digit verification code will be sent to the email address you have provided
  4. Enter the code to verify your email and create a new password

How do I add a corporation to my account?

Ask your corporation’s manager or director with CAO Full Access permissions to add your name and email address to your corporation’s profile by filing a notice of change. Make sure you give your corporation your existing CAO account information.
