Condo corporations are legally required to file returns annually with CAO. A condo return is a document which includes specific information about the condo corporation such as the date it was registered, its address for service and information about the condo board of directors. Filing a return updates the publicly available information on the Condo Registry. CAO’s page on condo returns provides more information about types of condo returns, frequency and deadlines.
All condo corporations are legally required to file an online notice of change with CAO when information filed in a condo return has changed or needs to be corrected. A notice of change must be filed within 30 days of the change and must indicate what has changed and when the change took effect. CAO’s Guide to Filing a Notice of Change provides more info.
