A condo board director or manager can file a notice of change with CAO to remove a former director from their condo corporation profile in the Condo Registry. Directors who disqualified because they did not complete their mandatory director training must be re-elected or appointed after they complete the training.
Condo board directors must complete CAO’s free mandatory director training within six months of being elected, appointed or re-elected, unless they have completed it within the past seven years. It comprises 21 e-learning modules which take about three to six hours to complete and can be done at your own pace. The CAO also provides optional advanced training for directors on governance, finance, procurement, issues management, emergency planning and overseeing condo managers upon completion of the foundational training.
