How to Deal with Vehicles Issues

Vehicles can be the cause of disputes in condo communities. The presence or operation of vehicles on the condo corporation’s property can be disruptive to others in the condo community, especially if it is particularly noisy or dangerous.

Step 1. Identify the issue

Many boards have requirements in their governing documents that are intended to create harmonious living for residents. Most disputes involving vehicles will relate to a condo’s governing documents, what they say and if they are properly enforced by the board.

Here are some common examples:

Residents not obeying speed limits on the condo property

Residents idling their vehicles

Residents keeping prohibited vehicles on the condo property

Residents using vehicles in a dangerous way

We encourage condo communities to work collaboratively to resolve vehicles issues before they escalate. Continue to next step to find out more.
