The Condominium Authority Tribunal (CAT)

The CAT’s jurisdiction will be expanding on January 1, 2022, and the CAO will soon be undertaking consultations about additional opportunities to expand the CAT’s jurisdiction. Click here for more details.

The Condominium Authority Tribunal (CAT) is Ontario’s first fully online tribunal! The CAT uses an online dispute resolution system (CAT-ODR) to help people resolve certain types of condominium-related disputes conveniently, quickly, and affordably.

The CAT can currently accept applications involving Condominium Records, Pets and Animals, Vehicles, Parking and Storage, and Settlement Agreements.

The CAT’s 3-stage dispute resolution services are offered at a total cost of $200 ($25 for Stage 1 – Negotiation; $50 for Stage 2 – Mediation; and $125 for Stage 3 – Adjudication).
