What are a condo’s accessibility and accommodation obligations

Condo corporations have a legal duty to take steps to accommodate the needs of people with disabilities. This means a corporation must not discriminate against a resident and must make reasonable modifications to its rules, policies and physical barriers to ensure equal access, unless doing so would cause undue hardship. What does ‘undue hardship’ mean for a corporation considering an accommodation request?

“Undue hardship” is the legal limit to a corporation’s duty to accommodate a resident with a disability.
