Who is responsible for repairs

When can my condo corporation enter my unit?

Individuals authorized by your condo corporation can enter your unit, but only for necessary repairs, maintenance or fulfilling the condo’s responsibilities. Entry must happen at a reasonable time, and owners must be given reasonable notice.

In emergencies, such as a fire or water leak, immediate access to your unit may be required without notice.

Who is responsible for repairs?

Responsibilities for repairing damage to units and common elements depend on what is outlined in your condo corporation’s governing documents. Understanding your condo’s definition of a standard unit and common elements is particularly important to determine insurance implications.
