CAO and TSSA host webinar on regulatory responsibilities for condo boards

The Condominium Authority of Ontario, in collaboration with the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA), recently hosted a webinar on elevator-related requirements for condominium boards. Watch the recording below.

 

 

The webinar focused on key compliance responsibilities for elevating devices, including licensing requirements, outage reporting, maintenance obligations and when alterations require approval.

TSSA representatives also provided an overview of broader regulatory requirements affecting condominium corporations, including heating and cooling systems and emergency generators, along with guidance on working with certified contractors and maintaining proper documentation. The session included a live Q&A, where presenters responded to questions from participants.
