The Condominium Authority of Ontario is a not-for-profit designated administrative authority. We provide education, consumer protection, information and dispute resolution for condominium communities.

Purpose of Position

As a Senior Full Stack .Net Developer, you can work on both the front-end and back-end of our digital solutions. Working within the Software Product Development department, you will work on the development and design of a variety of our cutting-edge features and products. This role is ideal for well-rounded, ambitious Software Developers who are always looking for new challenges. This position will report to the Software Design & Development Manager and support the CAO in developing business solutions in all service areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that technical and quality standards are applied throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Utilizing the latest technologies available, designing, and developing solutions to meet our strategic objectives
  • Collaborate in an Agile team, reviewing product backlogs, analyzing feasibility, complexity, recommending approaches, and providing effort estimates
  • Hands-on involvement in development, design, architecture, and code review
  • Expert knowledge of software design and industry experience in software development
  • Strong knowledge of Test-Driven Development
  • Experience with Azure Cloud technologies
  • Be highly self-motivated and self-disciplined, comfortable working in a remote distributed environment, collaborating with both technical and business teams
  • Contribute to the evaluation of code and database design, system structure, interface between different applications, and operational and performance requirements of overall systems
  • Participate in code reviews both as a reviewer and reviewee
  • Provide software development mentoring and assistance for other developers
  • Lead and assist in all development and application projects, working closely with department leaders and stakeholders
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, empowered, self-organized team environment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, Agile environment

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge

  • University Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related fields.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in software development
  • 5+ years of professional experience in all the following tools and technologies .NET, C#, ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, and client-side technologies
  • 5+ years of experience working with the following technologies: C#, .NET Core, ORM (EF Core), Distributed Cache, Messaging Queue, MS SQL Server, REST API Web Services
  • 2+ years of experience in TDD (Test Driven Development)
  • Proficiency in web technologies, including HTML 5, Swagger, Bootstrap, Angular and/or jQuery
  • Proficiency in web security
  • Experience in DDD (Domain Driven Development) can be an asset
  • Experience with AODA, Microservices, Distributed Messaging, Document DB, and Background Jobs can be an asset
